AFI- JHB Fashion Week

JHB fashion week was last week as we all know. AFI took fashion week to the Jhb CBD....and it was awesome! Most people were a bit uneasy and uncomfortable about the idea but things turned out quite well. S.A Fashion is growing, its becoming bigger and better at some point during the Avant show I honestly felt like I was at NYFW(not that i have ever been) lol! Im so excited for the future! I believe that fashion is truly the best means of self expression .The streets of our country show the true colours of our diverse nation. Fashion just like music is also a universal language .It is spoken differently in other countries but we just seem to understand fashion trends no matter where we are.

I believe the social scene in South Africa is constantly creating more and more sub-cultures, directly influencing street fashion in South Africa. Following trends is not the aim but creating different movements in South Africa is totally on point.
